Our History
This bookstore was dreamed up in the heart of the city of Memphis over 50 years ago. The art of being a storyteller was inherited from one of the greatest storytellers of all, my father. He had the uncanny ability to captivate his audiences, both young and old, with the countless stories that he weaved using his words, imagination, and delightful inflection of voice. He could paint vivid pictures simply by talking to you and every listener was entertained no matter how many times they heard each story. My mother, being the English perfectionist that she was, created an avid reader in me as a child. I received writing awards and honors as a child thanks to her encouragement and example. As an adult, I strive to live up to their legacy and share the joy of storytelling as my father did.
